What did you learn?

Have you ever thought about becoming a librarian, but maybe you weren’t sure if it was what you really wanted to do? Or, maybe you weren’t sure which type of library you would want to work in -- there are all different types, you know. Here’s your chance to try being a librarian for a day -- or maybe even more! Maybe you’ll discover what you’ve always wanted to do but never knew.

Below is a listing of libraries (all different types) that provide opportunities for job shadowing for adults, as well as some that also provide opportunities for younger students to volunteer. Some of the libraries listed below will allow you to volunteer for more than a day. To find out the specifics, please contact the person listed for the library that you are interested in volunteering at or where you would like to do job shadowing.

Are you a librarian or director
and would like your library added to the list?
